Blue is the new pink

So if the hint hasn't been taken, we are having a baby and we are having a boy. It looks like we are going to have to start buying things other than pink, barbies, polly pockets, dress-up, jewelry, dolls, tea party stuff, and everything else girl. I don't know what I am going to do with a boy. I am so used to girls. I thought back to my childhood days of playing with my brothers and all the matchbox cars we used to play with. We used to make tracks in the carpet and drive all around. This little guy will have 3 big sisters that I am hoping will like to make tracks in the carpet with him, as I loved doing with my brothers. We are thrilled to add a boy to our family. After we found out what we were having yesterday, the girls kept saying, "Good, we need a boy in our family." They are excited for the new addition. Ryan has been saying all along that it was a boy. Niamh went back and forth, but is now saying that she knew it was a boy too. Danny would say she takes after me.
I think one of the biggest thrills is that Danny has entered manhood. He always said that it takes a man to make a man, hence the 3 girls. I was happy to welcome him to the joy of true manhood yesterday. He deserves it right? He might have thought that all the tears yesterday were on his behalf, but I'm sorry to say it was for the boy. He is going to be a great dad. We can't wait to see what a boy version looks like. I am due July 10, but will most likely have him on July 5, since that is my doctor's c-section day(Monday). These are two of my favorite pictures from the ultrasound. He is a mover. He was moving all around while she was measuring and looking around. The girls were loving it. We can't wait to welcome our little irish boy.
