Blue is the new pink

So if the hint hasn't been taken, we are having a baby and we are having a boy. It looks like we are going to have to start buying things other than pink, barbies, polly pockets, dress-up, jewelry, dolls, tea party stuff, and everything else girl. I don't know what I am going to do with a boy. I am so used to girls. I thought back to my childhood days of playing with my brothers and all the matchbox cars we used to play with. We used to make tracks in the carpet and drive all around. This little guy will have 3 big sisters that I am hoping will like to make tracks in the carpet with him, as I loved doing with my brothers. We are thrilled to add a boy to our family. After we found out what we were having yesterday, the girls kept saying, "Good, we need a boy in our family." They are excited for the new addition. Ryan has been saying all along that it was a boy. Niamh went back and forth, but is now saying that she knew it was a boy too. Danny would say she takes after me.
I think one of the biggest thrills is that Danny has entered manhood. He always said that it takes a man to make a man, hence the 3 girls. I was happy to welcome him to the joy of true manhood yesterday. He deserves it right? He might have thought that all the tears yesterday were on his behalf, but I'm sorry to say it was for the boy. He is going to be a great dad. We can't wait to see what a boy version looks like. I am due July 10, but will most likely have him on July 5, since that is my doctor's c-section day(Monday). These are two of my favorite pictures from the ultrasound. He is a mover. He was moving all around while she was measuring and looking around. The girls were loving it. We can't wait to welcome our little irish boy.

So ridiculous! I am crying again just reading your post and listening to your song. :)

I am so happy for you and can't wait to meet your little boy too. I am sure that he and little Piper will be the best of friends, just like Landon and Ryan are. And I'm thankful that Landon will have another boy cousin along with Jack to commiserate with.

Sure love you. You are such a good mom and wife and homemaker. I know that he will be in good hands with three older little mothers to watch after him as well. :)

Can't wait for JULY!! :) (Well, June, but then July.) That last picture is really a good one!

That second ultrasound picture looks remarkably like your husband and Niamh. Is it just my imagination? Poor Bergin, she'll always be "one of these things is not like the other". We are so excited for you guys. I really think I have the cutest nephews, so I don't expect him to be any different.

Congratulations!! I of all people know how incredibly exciting your news is. Danny and you definitely deserve a boy. I cannot wait to see what he looks like too. Your girls are so cute, it will be fun to see the boy version. You guys are putting us to shame...we need to get with the program. I'm so happy for you. I wouldn't know what to do with a boy either, but I'm sure you'll figure it out. :) I wish I could say we were coming home soon, but it looks like probably August. I wish I could get together with you high school girls so bad. Have fun without me and know that I'm there in spirit!! Take Michelle's head around for old time sake. Ha ha.
Congrats again....so, so exciting!

Congrats!! Danny sure was excited to show and tell yesterday!! Sure am glad that he can finally say he is a true man, however I don't think he will ever truely grow up! :) Your girls will love a little Bro - My girls play more with his toys than their own. Just wait until he wants a dolly, Jason about died needless to say Jax never got one but he sure loves Abbie's. By the Way Jason's birthday is the 5th and he always has a grant celebration with fireworks and all!

The head... took me a minute to figure out what Emily was talking about!
You suck, you know that! I didn't even know you were pregnant! You need to share these things. I can't believe you are having a boy that is awesome. And I really can't believe Niamh is Rex's age and you will have two more than I do?! How do you do it? I need to get with the program... again.

Congratulations Rachel! I'm excited for you and your littel boy. I can't believe we are due so close together. I'm due the 15th, so I'll probably deliver the 7th. This will be my first scheduled c-section, so that will be kind of nice, instead of going through labor forever first and then ending in c-section! It will be fun to find out tomorrow what we're having. Hopefully we can get together sometime and have our kids play!

Oh my gosh, I am so glad that you found us!!Congrats of the the boy. We love having boys and our little girl! Yes, we are living in Cedar City. WE moved here 3 years ago. Sam is the school counselor at Cedar Middle School and loves it and is so good at what he does.
We did move to Spanish fork after Logan to live at a treatment center and take care of the teens. That is where I had Zack. We lived there for a year and then lived with my in-laws for 6 month while Sam was applying for Grad school. After he decided on Univ. of Phoenix we actually moved back to Spanish fork(but not in the treatment center) because I was still working at the treatment center. We lived there for the next 2 years while Sam went to school and worked at the State Hospital, and I worked at the Treatment Center and worked my way up to become the Asst. Director. I had Jackson and we had several foster kids.
It was crazy to say the least. When Sam got a job here we up and moved and now I get to stay home. I do all kinds of things at home but generally speaking get to stay home.
We bought our first house last August.
I have to tell you now that we have re-connected, out of the Blue Sam wants to come to Logan now for his Spring Break.
Both my sisters Abby and Beth went on missions and are both home now. It is so funny the fun memories that we have of living in those apartments together. Nothing but god times!!!

Sorry I've been a blog slacker! Congratulations on the baby and it's a boy! I bet you guys are so excited. When we had Eli after 2 girls, it was so fun. The girls totally spoil him (still - even after 5 years!) You'll love being able to do the "boy" stuff for a change. Good luck with everything. We still all need to get together even if Jessica is moving away. Maybe when Emily comes into town this summer. I want to see everyone! Love you!

I love that you love Yogurtland. Isn't it the best? We got hooked for life when we lived in LA and Kevin's dad would have done a franchise with us, but we are too busy with the residency thing, but we seriously thought about it. Obsessed like you. And please tell me you are cheering on Jet and Cord this season of Amazing Race. I'll be really disappointed if you aren't watching. Ava and Bailey love the cowboys. My number is still the same, but email me if you need it again. Thanks for yours, so fun to hear from you! Yogurtland would be the biggest hit in Logan. :)
